I didn't start a blog when I spent a semester in London.
I didn't start a blog when I spent J-Term in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
I really should have. Those memories are slipping away - and they were totally life-changing experiences that went undocumented.
I haven't journal-ed since graduating from Pacific Lutheran University last May.
I have an English Writing degree and though it has so far proven to be completely useless, I need to give myself a reason to write as much as possible so my education doesn't feel like a waste of time and my parent's money.
Every weekday at 1 o'clock, the kid I nanny goes down for a nap. Whether he falls asleep or not, I have the next hour or so to do what I like and I have decided that it should be blogging. If nothing else (even if nobody reads it) this will be for myself to look back on and remember what these next few months were like as I
PLAN MY WEDDING and try to LOSE 30 POUNDS and MARRY MY BEST FRIEND and START THE NEXT CHAPTER OF MY LIFE.
I also need an outlet for the frustrations and questions that come along with these important things. This public forum will also allow me to be completely honest about my struggles, my failures, my excitement, and my occasional need to say something that might make me look selfish, inconsiderate, or in general like an ass.
Join me if you wish.
